Joan Gardy-Artigas est né en 1938 à Boulogne-Billancourt. Installé à Barcelone, il y vit et y poursuit son activité artistique.
Fils du renommé céramiste Josep Llorens Artigas, connu notamment pour sa collaboration avec Joan Miró sur de nombreuses œuvres en céramique, Joan Gardy-Artigas grandit dans un environnement profondément lié à la création artistique.
À partir de 1958, il se forma à l'École du Louvre avant d’ouvrir son propre atelier de céramique à Paris.
Il y réalise des pièces aux côtés de grands artistes tels que Georges Braque et Marc Chagall, tout en poursuivant également une collaboration avec Joan Miró.

Joan Gardy-Artigas was born in 1938 in Boulogne-Billancourt. Based in Barcelona, he continues to live and work there as an artist.
The son of the renowned ceramicist Josep Llorens Artigas, who is especially known for his collaboration with Joan Miró on numerous ceramic works, Joan Gardy-Artigas grew up in an environment deeply connected to artistic creation.
Beginning in 1958, he studied at the École du Louvre before opening his own ceramics studio in Paris.
There, he created works alongside major artists such as Georges Braque and Marc Chagall, while also continuing his collaboration with Joan Miró.
